ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Loras College women's track and field team competed across four meets from Friday, March 27, through Saturday, March 28, turning in several personal-best performances.
At the Washington University in St. Louis Distance Carnival,
Keelee Leitzen delivered one of the top performances of the weekend in the 1500 meters. Leitzen clocked a personal-best time of 4:26.61, improving by 11 seconds and finishing just 0.02 seconds shy of the program record. Her time currently ranks second in Division III.
At the Saint Louis University Speed and Power Festival,
Ivy Glendening added to the Duhawks' strong showing in the 1500 meters, recording a personal-best time of 4:58.06.
Competing at the North Central First Chance Invitational,
Abby Pierce and
Rachel Theis each earned personal bests as well. Pierce captured a first-place finish in the 400-meter hurdles with a personal-best time of 1:07.41, while Theis posted a personal-best clearance of 2.77 meters in the pole vault.
At the Central College Invitational,
Caitlyn Cox and
Abby Horsfall highlighted the field events with personal-best performances in the hammer throw. Cox placed fourth overall with a mark of 56.44 meters, which currently ranks first in Division III, while Horsfall recorded a throw of 39.82 meters to finish 18th.
