Three Duhawks Earn AVCA All-Region Honors

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Three members of the Loras College men's volleyball team have been named to the American Volleyball Coaches Association All-Region IV team. Senior middle blocker Bo Brainerd III, junior middle blocker Roman Rothermel, and sophomore setter Evan Dziadkowiec received the honor on Monday amid a stellar 2026 campaign. This is the first career AVCA All-Region recognition for each of these players.  

Brainerd III, a native of Delafield, Wis., ranks first in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) in hitting percentage with .434, which ranks sixth amongst all of Division III. He is also ranked fourth in blocks per set with 0.78, seventh in kills per set with 2.96, and fifth in points per set with 3.62. Brainerd III was named CCIW Hitter of the Week on April 6th, 2026, as well as AVCA Division III National Player of the Week, and was a CCIW All-Conference First Team selection. 

Rothermel, a Menomonee Falls, Wis. native ranks second in the CCIW in hitting percentage with .433 which ranks seventh amongst all of Division III, eighth in blocks per set with 0.71, eighth in kills per set with 2.84, and seventh in points per set with 3.42. Rothermel was also named CCIW Defensive Player of the Week on January 19th, 2026, and is now a two-time CCIW All-Conference selection.  

Dziadkowiec, a Lockport, Illinois native receives the All-Region nod after a 2026 season that saw him shatter the Loras record for assists in a season, currently sitting at 989. He is on pace to be the first player in Duhawk Men's Volleyball history to eclipse 1,000 assists in a season. He currently ranks 10th amongst all of Division III in assists per set with 9.89. Dziadkowiec was also named to the CCIW All-Conference Second Team.  

Up Next: The Duhawks will travel to Kenosha, Wis. for the first round of the NCAA men's volleyball tournament. Loras will take on No. 6 Southern Virginia University at 6:30 p.m. inside Tarble Arena.
