CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – Keelee Leitzen of the Loras College women's track and field team has been named American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) Female Athlete of the Week, the league office announced Monday.
Leitzen also earned A-R-C Women's Track Athlete of the Week honors following her record-setting performance at the Bryan Clay Invitational, hosted by Azusa Pacific University. Competing in a field of 134 athletes in the 800 meters, she clocked a time of 2:07.88 to finish as the top Division III competitor against a field featuring Division I, Division II and unattached runners. Her mark shattered the previous school record by nearly three seconds and currently ranks No. 1 in Division III this season.
