STORM LAKE, Iowa – The Loras College men's and women's golf teams wrapped up competition at the BVU Invite at Lake Creek Country Club, with the women placing third and the men finishing sixth.

The Duhawk women turned in a two-day team score of +111, finishing behind Buena Vista (+86) and Simpson (+93).

Julia Busch led the way for Loras, finishing fifth overall at +20. Busch opened the tournament with a 7-over round before carding a 13-over score in the second round.

Ellen Pechan followed closely behind, tying for seventh at +22. Pechan recorded an 11-over score in each round. Elish Flynn finished 13th at +28, while Autumn Allen (+44) and Caera Owens (+45) rounded out the Loras lineup.
On the men's side, Loras finished sixth in the team standings at +48.

The Duhawks had three golfers finish tied for 16th, as Nicholas Sullivan, Silas Schultz and Connor Walsh each completed the tournament at +11. Walsh made a strong move during the second round with a 5-over performance, while Schultz carded a 6-over second round.

Alex LaShelle finished tied for 34th at +15, while Jack Dahlem rounded out the team scoring at +20, tying for 45th.

Competing individually, Will Coohey posted the best overall score among Loras golfers, finishing at +10 and tying for 12th. Wyatt Herting also competed individually and tied for 24th at +12.
 
Up Next: The women will head to Kansasville, Wis. on Sept 25 to compete in the Midwest Region Fall Classic at Brighton Dale Golf Course. The men are back in action on Sept. 26, when they travel to Waverly, Iowa for the Wartburg Fall Invite, held at Prairie Links Golf Course.
