Why Loras: "I originally discovered Loras because of the volleyball program. I decided to come because it was obvious how important it is to be a well-rounded student, rather than simply an athlete. I wanted to be passionate about my school and I knew I would be able to do that here at Loras. The first day I visited and saw all of the smiling faces, I knew I wanted to become a Duhawk.”

What it means to be a Duhawk: "To be a Duhawk, you take pride in being a Division 3 athlete. We play division 3 because of the passion, not the scholarships for athletics. We understand that school still comes first, then athletics. We find balance in our studies and sport. We support each other because we take pride in our teams. I could not be more thankful for the opportunities and equipment our athletic community is given.”

Favorite memory at Loras: "It is very difficult to pick out one favorite memory because there have been so many great times here. During this past winter, though, a group of my teammates and I would wake up every Saturday afternoon and go to the boys' and girls' basketball games to support our friends; that always gave us something to look forward to! Other than that, spending time with my teammates and coaches was always fun.”

2014: Appeared in 32 matches ... Set career-highs in kills (136), assists (56), blocks (36), and digs (26) ... Had a season-high 9 kills against Greenville on 8/29

2013: Appeared in 20 matches … Tallied a kill and block in her Duhawk debut on August 30 against Westminster

High School: Graduate of Lincoln Way West High School in New Lenox, Illinois … Three-year varsity volleyball player for Rory Harrison in the Southwest Suburban Conference … Named to All-Tournament and is #3 on the All-time blocks list for the school … One-year varsity soccer player for Jeff Theiss where she scored the first regional goal in the school’s history

Personal: Therese Angelina Schultz … Daughter of Thomas and Margaret Schultz and sister of Ashlee Schultz … Born in Palos Heights, Illinois and now resides in New Lenox, Illinois … Played club with UNO Volleyball … Names Misty May-Treanor as her favorite athlete … Lists Chicago Cubs as her favorite professional teams … Best memory from this summer is hanging out with friends, going to Michigan, and playing volleyball …  Math and finance double-major
