INDIANOLA, Iowa (Oct. 1, 2020) – Loras College junior
Mallory Gardiner posted a top-five finish for the women's golf team on Wednesday at the Simpson College Invitational, carding a score of 86 in the Duhawks' final tune-up ahead of the American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) Championship in one week.
Gardiner tied for fifth with her round, finishing +15 on the Par 72 course at Indianola Country Club with a season best and one stroke off her career best.
Carlene Paul tied for 20th overall with a score of 96 (+25) and
Megan Himm tied for 37th with a 106 (+35).
Jadyn Anderson shot a 144 (+73).
The Duhawks placed eighth at the Invitational while Iowa Lakes Community College won the team title with a total score of 353 (+69). Graceland University's Molly Carey earned individual honors with a score of 79 (+8).
The Duhawks will wrap up the fall season at the 2020 A-R-C Championship beginning Saturday, Oct. 10 in Ames, Iowa at Ames Country Club.
