DUBUQUE, Iowa (Duhawks.com) - The Loras men's soccer team (6-4-0, 2-1-0) comes off a 1–1 week in conference play. A new week sends the Duhawks to Waverly on Tuesday before a weekend full of matches inside the Rock Bowl against Buena Vista and Elmhurst.
LAST TIME OUT
In their 5-0 win over Central, Loras was paced by four different goal scorers. Senior
Alex Bradley picked up the game-winner in the fifth minute before a brace from senior
Nick Nemmers put the game out of reach in the late stages of the match.
WEEKLY PREVIEW
The Duahwks have two IIAC matches on the docket this week in Wartburg and Buena Vista. The Knights (8-4-1, 2-1-0) had their four-game win streak snapped after a 3-0 loss to UW-Platteville last Friday. In addition to Saturday's match against the Beavers, Loras will also honor its senior class at halftime. Buena Vista enters (4-9-1, 0-4-0) with a six-game losing streak with their most recent defeat coming at the hands of Luther, 3–0. The week concludes on Sunday with a non-conference tilt against Elmhurst.g The Blue Jays (6-4-3, 1-2-1 CCIW) come off a match in which they were edged by Illinois Wesleyan 2–1.

SERIES HISTORY AGAINST WARTBURG
Loras owns the all time record against the Knights at a mark of 24–10–2. The last time each side faced off was during the 2015 campaign with Loras leaving Waverly with a 2–0 win. Bradley also tallied the game-winner in this match, with this score coming in the 16th minute. An insurance tally from senior
Austin Jacobi, his 5th of the season, in the 67th minute of play paced Loras to the win.
KNIGHTS TO WATCH OUT FOR
Wartburg has generated a majority of its offense from the duo of Paris Martins and Daniel Luzindya. Martins has scored seven goals and four assists for 18 points while Luzindya has struck for four goals and three assists for 11 points. Martins' offensive production lands him third for goals and points in the Iowa Conference.
SERIES HISTORY AGAINST THE BEAVERS
The Duhawks have the advantage in the all time series with Buena Vista with a 16-4-0 record. Last time each side met was last season when Loras traveled to Storm Lake and won in convincing fashion, 8-0. The Duhawks had seven different goal scorers that night with
Jorge Simon registering the brace.
BEAVERS TO HAVE AN EYE ON
Steve Nyaye and Gum Riak lead the charge offensively for Buena Vista, with each player tallying 13 points. Nyaye reached his point total by recording four goals and five assists while Riak has picked up six goals and an assist.
SERIES HISTORY AGAINST THE BLUE JAYS
Loras and Elmhurst have met once in program history, with the Duhawks coming away victorious, 2-1, in the 2009 meeting. All three goals were scored in the first 10 minutes of play with Loras scoring twice in the first five minutes. Matt Splittberger was credited with the game-winner in the fifth minute he struck home a rebound.
BLUE JAYS TO WATCH OUT FOR
JD Garnett is a player to watch out for come match time with four goals and four assists to his name. The junior showed his offensive prowess in his team's 3–1 win over North Central, registering the first goal and assisting on the game-winner in the 48th minute.
DUHAWKS TIGHTEN UP DEFENSE
Since giving up three goals in one match against St. Johns, the most goals allowed by Loras thus far, the Duahwks have tightened up thier defense. In their return to conference play this past week, Loras has given up only one goal in the past two matches. The Purple and Gold will be looking to maintain this stronghold of a defense as they go deeper into their conference schedule.
DEPTH STARTING TO COME AROUND
As of late, the depth of the men's soccer roster has begun to flourish, nine matches into the season. With as many pieces to the puzzle that graduated after last season, growing pains were expected to some extent. Seniors

JACOBI JUMPING IN THE OFFENSE
As in previous seasons, senior
Austin Jacobi has worked his way into the stat lines, but in his senior campaign, Jacobi has moved to the back, but still has managed to contribute to the offense. From his left back role, the Roscoe, Ill. native has a knack for goal, totaling three assists this season.
BRADLEY THE SPARK TO THE DUHAWK ENGINE
Senior
Alex Bradley has shown his offensive prowess of late tallying two goals and an assist in the last four matches, including a fifth-minute game-winning bender. Bradley leads the Duhawks with five goals this season, which ranks sixth in the IIAC.
