WATERLOO, Iowa (Duhawks.com) - The Loras men's tennis team made quite the statement over the weekend at the inaugural American Rivers Conference Tournament.
Konnor Barth,
Trevor Hamilton,
Riley Michel and
Sean Baldwin were each finalists in their brackets, with all coming away with second place finishes.

• Loras' lone representative in the A-Flight semifinals,
Trevor Hamilton, advanced to the final with a 6-2, 6-2 win over Coe's Nate Ackert before conceding in the championship to Rami Hemaidan of Coe by an identical, 6-2, 6-2, score

Sean Baldwin was the only semifinalist in the B-Flight singles that wasn't from Coe ... Against Ben Hediger, Baldwin dropped a 6-3, 6-3 loss
• Barth's day began against a familiar face in
Joe Diedrich, winning 6-1, 6-1 ... In the final, Barth took the opening set, 6-3, but let the momentum slip, dropping the second set, 7-5, and the super tiebreaker, 10-6

Connor Pivnicka joined Barth on the podium with his third place finish, bouncing back from a 6-3, 6-1 setback to Fran Gonzalez Banos of Luther to defeat Diedrich, 6-1, 6-3
• In the doubles bracket,
Riley Michel and Baldwin advanced to the final with an 8-5 win over Brad DiLeo and William Isiminger of Central ... Against Central's Ethan St. John and David Boschma, Michel and Baldwin conceded, 8-1
• Tommy Linkhenheld and
Sage Klar took fourth following a pair of losses to St. John and Boschma followed by DiLeo and Isiminger
