D3hoops.com Top-25 Poll (Week 2)
Dec. 3, 2019 – With a 6-0 start to the season, the Loras College women's basketball team has jumped six spots in the latest D3hoops.com Top-25 Poll as the Duhawks and enters the week's slate as the No. 18 team in the nation. The organization released the Week 2 rankings on Monday.
Loras (6-0, 1-0 A-R-C) earned its first D3hoops.com ranking on Monday, Nov. 25, coming into the poll as the No. 24-ranked team. That week, the Duhawks scored a pair of wins including an 88-72 victory against Central College in the American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) opener and putting on a dominant display against Milwaukee School of Engineering on Saturday, Nov. 30, defeating the Raiders 92-30 after holding a 63-11 lead at the half. Marissa Schroeder posted 32 points between the two games, all of which she scored in the fourth quarter against Central and first quarter against the Raiders. For her performance, she earned her fourth-career A-R-C Athlete of the Week honor on Dec. 2.
Wartburg College is the lone A-R-C representative with the Duhawks in the latest poll, holding its spot at No. 8. Amherst College remained the No. 1 team as well as Tufts University and the University of Scranton maintaining their No. 2 and 3 ranks, respectively.
Loras' next game is set for Wednesday, Dec. 4 as the Duhawks travel to face A-R-C foe Luther College. Tip-off in Decorah is set for 5:30 P.M.
