CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – 10 members of the Loras College women's soccer team garnered All-Conference honors as released by the conference this afternoon.

Two Duhawk seniors highlighted the group of honorees by earning major awards. Senior forward, Lauren Riggle was tabbed the American Rivers Conference Offensive Most Valuable Player, along with senior midfielder, Reagan Lindsay who was named A-R-C Defensive MVP. Riggle, an Amana, Iowa native, recorded 29 points on the season totaling 12 goals and five assists. Lindsay earned 26 points on the season, while recording 20 assists and three goals. In addition to earning MVP, both Riggle and Lindsay made the All-Conference team along with eight others for the Purple and Gold.

Kyndal Kells had another historic season as she currently holds the career shutout record with 48. The Red Oak, Iowa native, has shutout all but two of the 17 opponents she has faced. So far this season, she has a save percentage of 0.882 and a goals-against average of 0.12.

For a handful of Duhawks, this is the first time in their careers that they have earned All-Conference distinction. Sierra Morgano, Riggle, Kaighin Frost, Isabel Russmann, Athena Sheets and Bella Scesniak are the ones who have received this recognition for the first time.

Christina Salerno, Morgano and Scesniak are key members of the Loras defense, that held opponents scoreless for all but two games on the season. Despite being defenders, these three help on the offensive side of the field as well as Salerno has two assists, Morgano has one assist on the year and Scesniak has three goals and one assist. 

Frost, Russmann, and Sheets are pivotal midfielders for the Duhawks and are a part of an offense that has outscored opponents 58-3 this season. Frost has three goals and six assists on the year, while Russmann has tallied four goals and two assists. Sheets rounds out the midfield all-league performers with six goals and one assist on the year thus far.

This is fifth-year Savannah Johnson's third selection to an A-R-C All-Conference squad. In 2022, she earned All-Conference Honorable Mention honors and in 2023 she was tabbed the A-R-C Offensive MVP. Johnson hasn't skipped a beat this season, as she has recorded 14 goals and nine assists and leads the team in points at 37.

The Duhawks begin their run in the NCAA Tournament as they welcome St. Catherine University, Carleton College, and University of Wisconsin-Superior to the Rock Bowl for the First and Second Rounds. Loras is set to take on the Wildcats of St. Catherine on Saturday, Nov. 16 at 1 p.m.
