Box Score WATERLOO, Iowa – The Loras College men's tennis team won its regular season finale, 7-2, against the Buena Vista University Beavers on Saturday afternoon.
The Purple and Gold (8-13 overall, 3-5 American Rivers) held a 2-1 advantage in doubles play, as
Lucas Healy and
Andrew Day picked up the Duhawks' first point of the match with an 8-3 decision over BVU's Tyler Hager and Henry Borts.
Gage Becker and
Thomas Kampmier were victorious in doubles No. 1, edging out BVU 8-6.
The Beavers (5-14, 2-6) captured its first point after the duo of Brock Bruns and Ryan Webb narrowly defeated
Sean Gelski and Samuel Cañas Guerrero, 8-6.
Singles play was dominated by Loras, as Becker, Kampmier, Gelski, Healy, and
Andrew Day each picked up victories.

Loras will enter the tourney as the sixth seed and will face the No. 3 Wartburg College Knights in Waverly at 4 p.m. The men will be seeking the program's first tournament championship, as the tourney has been largely dominated by Coe College (13 titles) and Luther (9 titles).
