CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – A pair of Loras College softball players were named to the 2024 American Rivers Conference Softball All-Conference teams as announced by the conference office on Thursday afternoon.

Ashlyn Hemm earned an at-large First Team selection following her junior year performance, marking her third time as a First Team All-Conference honoree in her three years with the program. The Port Byron, Ill. native led the conference with an ERA of 1.42, which she achieved over the course of 108.1 innings pitched. She retired 118 batters and gave up just 68 hits to finish with an overall record of 10-6.  Hemm highlighted her third season with the Duhawks by becoming the 17^th player in program history to throw a no-hitter in the 4-0 victory over the University of Rochester Yellowjackets on March 14.

Katherine Svigelj received Honorable Mention distinction following her debut season with the Purple and Gold. She ranked third on the team in batting average (.300) and slugging percentage (.386), while also sitting fourth amongst her teammates in both on-base percentage (.319) and runs (12). In total, the Crystal Lake, Ill. native recorded 21 hits, which featured three doubles and one home run.

The Duhawks concluded their 2024 campaign with a 20-16 overall record, which included a 7-9 mark in conference play.
