DUBUQUE, Iowa – Seven student-athletes from the Loras College men's and women's soccer teams have been named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District, as announced by the organization Tuesday.

On the men's side, Dani Galiana Torres earns the distinction for the second time in his career. For the women, Katie Callahan, Cana Duckworth,  Hannah Fedinec, Mayte Navejas,  Sierra Morgano, and Allie Stubbendick are all earning the distinction for the first time in their careers as well.

These seven Duhawks represent the 74 student-athletes from the American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) who earned the distinction.

To qualify, all nominees must be at least a sophomore in academic standing, have played in 90 percent of the team's games or started at least 66 percent, and have a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher.

Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists are denoted with an asterisk and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced Tuesday, December 16 (men) and Wednesday, December 17 (women).
