CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – Senior outfielder Max McCallum dominated opposing pitching on his way to being named American Rivers Conference Position Player of the Week for March 24 – 31.

McCallum's series against Wartburg was awe inspiring, as he posted a .643 batting average against the Knights.

In game one, the senior went 4-for-5 and was crucial in keeping the game competitive for the Duhawks. The Aurora, Ill. native was responsible for six of Loras' 11 total runs and mashed his second home run of the season. Game two saw similar success for McCallum, but this time it went along with a victory. He'd collect two more hits, and three more RBI as the Purple and Gold knotted up the series. Despite a loss in the finale, the center fielder would again hit over .500, with a triple and another RBI.

In total, Max McCallum churned out a nine-hit weekend, with seven runs scored, seven RBI, and a round-tripper. It's the first time the senior has earned A-R-C position player of the week.

On Deck: Barring poor weather, the Duhawks clash with the University of Dubuque on Wednesday, March 2 at Petrakis Park. The first pitch is scheduled for 4:30 p.m.
