Leitzen's Record-Breaking Run Leads Loras in Four-Meet Weekend

February 15, 2026

WHITEWATER, Wis. – The Loras College women's track and field team was spread across four different meets between Friday, Feb. 13, and Saturday, Feb. 14, competing at meets hosted by DePaul University, Boston University, the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and the University of Wisconsin-Platteville.

Keelee Leitzen highlighted the weekend with a standout performance at the Boston University Hemery Valentine Invitational. Racing in the 800 meters, she clocked a time of 2:09.83 to break her own school record and move to second nationally in Division III. The mark also stands as the fastest 800-meter time in American Rivers Conference history, surpassing a league record that had been in place since 2011.

Caitlyn Cox turned in a strong showing at DePaul's Blue Demon Alumni Classic, placing second in the weight throw against a field of 22 Division I competitors with a toss of 20.09 meters.

At UW-Platteville, several Duhawks posted season and personal bests. Layla Hughes ran a season-best 1:00.46 in the 400 meters, while Savannah Davis recorded a personal best of 2:24.09 in the 800. Ivy Glendening and Lily Molly added personal-best efforts in the mile at 5:17.19 and 5:32.72, respectively, and Bryn Meyer cleared a personal-best 5.36 meters in the long jump.

Up Next: The Duhawks will compete at two meets Friday, Feb. 20, splitting between the Sol Butler Classic at the University of Dubuque and the Caged Eagle Invite at the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse.
