ORLANDO, Fla. – The Loras College men's tennis team concluded up their trip to the Sunshine State with a win over Otterbein University, before having their last match against Marymount being rained out.
Loras 4, Otterbein College 3
The Duhawks won their third straight match by a score of 4-3 with the win over Otterbein.
In doubles action, the duos of
Gage Becker and
Hayden Martin, and
Dali Martens and
Jaimes Palmer got 6-4 victories to earn hard-fought doubles point.
In singles play, the Duhawks took an early 2-1 lead after wins from
Abhyudit Nagar and
Horia Popa at No. 5 and 6. After falling at the No. 1 and 2 spots, Martens came through for the Purple and Gold, taking down Jake Chilcote at No. 3 6-7, 7-5, and then winning the tiebreaker 13-11 to secure the win for Loras.

After only being able to play the doubles portion of the match due to rain, Loras was stll able to grab the doubles point.
Martens and Palmer were 6-0 winners over Jacob Klitenic and Rebhi Villasmil at No. 1. Nagar and Canas Guerrero, and
Nick Carney and
Jimmy Krcmarik completed the sweep with 6-2, and 6-0 wins.
