DUBUQUE, Iowa – The Loras College men's and women's tennis teams fell to Willamette University, falling 4-3 in both matches.
On the men's side,
Dali Martens and
Jaimes Palmer were the only duo to grab a win in doubles, as the Duhawks fell behind 1-0 heading to singles.
Loras split the singles matches with Palmer winning at No. 4,
Abhyudit Nagar winning at No. 5, and
Horia Popa taking down Luca Casano 6-3, 6-2 at No. 6.
The women were met with a similar fate, falling behind 1-0 after doubles.
Mary Breitbach was a winner at the No. 1 singles position 6-3, 6-3.
Saydie Roling and
Brooke Burger concluded Duhawk winners, winning 6-1, 6-1, and 6-1, 6-4.
Up Next: The men will return to American Rivers Conference play as they travel to Waverly, Iowa to take on Wartburg College on April 7, at 4 p.m. The women will return home on March 28, to face off against Truman State University at 2 p.m.
