DUBUQUE, Iowa - The Loras College men's tennis team celebrated senior day at Tucker Tennis Courts with a 6-1 win over the University of Dubuque.

After dropping the No. 1 doubles match, the Duhawks responded with wins at No. 2 and 3 to take the doubles point. Dali Martens and Jaimes Palmers were winners at No. 2, 6-1, while the duo of Abhyudit Nagar and Samuel Canas Guerrero solidified the double point with a 7-5 win at No. 3

In singles play, Horia Popa made quick work of Alexander Hardin at No. 6, winning 6-0, 6-0. Martens was the next Duhawk on the board with his 6-4, 6-2 win at No. 2 over Jake Wallrichs. After UD took the No. 1 match, Nagar got Loras back on track with his 6-3, 6-1 win at No. 5. Palmer and Martin capped off the win with wins of their own at No. 3 and 4. Martin was a 6-4, 2-6, 6-2 winner, while Palmer took down his opponent at No. 4, 7-6, 6-2.

Up Next: The Duhawks will travel to Pella, Iowa on April 24, to take on Central College. Match time is set for 4 p.m.
