ASBURY, Iowa - The Loras College men's golf team put together a strong two-round performance at The Meadows Golf Club, finishing tied atop the team leaderboard with the University of Dubuque at 24-over par.

The Duhawks opened the tournament with a 14-over-par 302 before improving by four strokes in the second round, firing a 10-over 298 to finish with a two-round total of 600 (+24).

Silas Schultz led the way individually for Loras, finishing tied for third at four-over par. Schultz opened the tournament with a one-under round of 71, to take the clubhouse lead after day one. A rainy Tuesday round led the sophomore to a 77 in round two to finish with a two-day total of 148.

Connor Walsh made the biggest move for the Duhawks on the final day. After an opening-round 81, Walsh responded with a two-under-par 70 in the second round, the lowest round by a Loras golfer during the tournament. His strong finish moved him into a tie for sixth at seven-over par (151).

Alex LaShelle also improved significantly in the second round, following a 79 with a two-over 74 to finish tied for 14th at nine-over par (153). Jack Dahlem joined LaShelle at nine-over after rounds of 76 and 77, while Nicholas Sullivan rounded out the Loras lineup at 14-over par (158).

The Loras (B) squad finished 11th at 75-over par. Will Coohey led the group at 16-over (160), followed by Wyatt Herting at 18-over (162) and Evan Sperling at 19-over (163). Cole Vetter finished at 22-over (166), while Ryker Terry posted a 31-over 175.
