Brian Falvey finished with wins at No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles on the day.
Against the Knights, Falvey managed to win the first set 6-4, but Eric Hilpert responded with a 6-2 victory followed by a 10-6 tiebreaker. In doubles play, the best the Duhawks could manage was an 8-3 setback at No. 1 doubles.
Falvey earned his first win of the year against Bethany Lutheran's Jacob Kubler, winning 6-2, 2-6, 1-0 (10-3). Junior
Ulises Hernandez was close to a victory at No. 2 singles, but fell 6-2, 5-7, 1-0 (10-4).
The Duhawks will be in Cedar Rapids this weekend as they face Carthage and Coe beginning at 9 a.m. on Saturday.
