CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (Duhawks.com) - The Loras Men's Tennis team fell to 0-4 on the year after a pair of loss to No. 35 Coe and Carthage. In both matches, Loras was kept off the scoresheet, suffering 9-0 losses.
In doubles play against Coe, Loras fell in all three matches by identical 8-2 score lines. Freshman
Paul Mniszewski was the only Duhawk to record more than one game win, falling 6-2, 6-0 to Chris Schirm at No. 5 singles.
Against Carthage, the results were closer to level, but still fell in favor of the Red Men. At No. 1 singles, senior
Brian Falvey fell 6-2, 6-3. No. 4-6 singles all went in favor of Carthage by identical 6-0 score lines.
Doubles play played to the strengths of Carthage, who won by 8-0, 8-0, and 8-1 marks.
Loras travels to Decatur, Illinois on Sunday to face Millikin University.
