ALL TIME VERSUS CARTHAGE
In the Duhawks' two meetings with the Red Men during the 2015 season, they were defeated twice by identical 3-0 scores.

LAST TIME VERSUS CARTHAGE
Loras faced Carthage at Tarble Arena in Kenosha, Wis. for what was their last match of the 2015 season. The Red Men, whom were battling for an NCAA tournament bid and the number one team in the MCVL all season, dispatched the Duhawks by a set score of 3-0 (25-14,25-18,25-19). For Loras, Jimmy Combs led the way with seven kills and a .429 hitting percentage. Shayne Marquez added 17 assists in the defeat.

SCOUTING THE RED MEN
Carthage men's volleyball has a winning tradition that has seen them not only become the premier team in a strong MCVL conference, but also as an annual contender for an NCAA tournament berth. For the Red Men, 2016 should be no different. Ranked as the No. 3 team in the AVCA Division III poll, Carthage features a strong attack headed by 2015 AVCA 2nd-Team All-American junior Griffin Shields. This season, Shields ranks second in the MCVL in kills per set averaging 3.66 coming into Friday night. The Red Men have took down No. 4 UC-Santa Cruz in straight sets and have only lost to Division II Lindenwood. Carthage enters the weekend with a 11-1 overall record and a 4-0 mark in the MCVL.

DYNAMIC DUO
After just 12 games this season, both Jimmy Combs and Greg Kinney are on a record-breaking pace. Kinney is well on his way to setting the season kills record, having posted 99 kills in 12 matches which puts him 75 behind last season's top mark set by TJ Esporas. Sophomore Jimmy Combs is also on his way to breaking his own record of blocks from last season in which he tallied 64 blocks. Combs has already accounted for 43 blocks in 2016.

LI-BLAIR-O ANDERSON ANCHORING DEFENSE
In his first season as the Duhawks' primary libero, sophomore Blair Anderson compiled 205 digs, finishing in the top-10 in the MCVL. Despite entering the weekend slightly behind last season's pace, the Naramata, B.C. native is heating up once again. In his last match versus North Central, he recorded 10 digs, which was the second time this season where he reached double digits in digs.

DUHAWKS PROVING THEY BELONG
Loras has gotten off to a strong start in 2016 posting a 6-6 record thus far, which includes their most recent conference victory on the road at North Central. The Duhawks rank among the top-six in the conference in kills/set, attack percentage, and blocks per set. Additionally, Loras has improved statistically in every major category from their inaugural 2015 season.

KRASICH LEADS DUHAWKS TO FIRST MCVL WIN
Last week the Duhawks earned their first victory in the MCVL, defeating North Central, 3-1 (25-19, 25-21, 20-25, 25-20). Sophomore Danny Krasich led the charge, finishing with a career-high 24 assists and added nine digs. Through 12 matches, Krasich is already on pace to surpass his numbers from his freshman season. The Oak Lawn, Ill. native has seen his greatest improvement from 2015 come in the assists category, where he has totaled 4.23 assists per set compared to 3.74 in 2015. In 2016, Krasich has assisted on 47.2 percent of total attacks, up from 33.5 in 2015.
