POST GAME NOTES
- In the Duhawks' first home contest of the MCVL season, they faced No. 14 MSOE on Friday night.
- Set one began with both sides exchanging points, but the Duhawks gained a lead at 9-8 thanks to a kill from sophomore Dylan Ross.  Â
- With the game tied at 11-all, the Raiders used a three-point run to take a 14-11 lead.
- MSOE extended its' lead to four points prompting a Loras timeout with the score 18-14.
- Although the Duhawks fought hard to chip away at the Raider advantage, MSOE finished the set at 25-20.
- Freshman Greg Kinney led Loras defensively with eight digs in the first set. He would go on to finish with 12 on the night.
- Set two featured a fast start from the Raiders, who got out to a quick 5-0 advantage.
- The Duhawks battled back, however, and a service ace from Freshman Alfredo Lopez shrunk the MSOE lead to two at 6-4.
- With Kinney back at the service line, Loras went on a run of their own to knot the score at 11-all.
- The Duhawks took their first lead of the second frame after a kill from sophomore Jimmy Combs made the score 16-15 in their favor.
- After a block from freshman Austin Kuchenbecker, the Raiders were forced to take a timeout trailing Loras 21-19.
- Following the break in the action, MSOE ripped off three straight points prompting a timeout from head coach Jeremy Thornburg.
- The Duhawks struggled to find their rhythm down the stretch, as the Raiders scoring six out of the last seven points to take set two, 25-22.
- The Duhawks took a lead early in the third frame after a Kinney service ace made the score 9-7 Loras.
- A kill from freshman Ryan Galvan pushed teh Duhawks in front, 13-12, midway through the set.
- Both teams jockeyed back-and-forth for the lead as the set progressed, but another kill from Galvan gave Loras a slim lead at 20-19.
- MSOE put the match to rest, scoring the final six points to win 25-20 and complete the 3-0 sweep.
- Stat leaders for the Duhawks were Galvan and Lopez, whom both finished with six kills on the night. Defensively, Loras was paced by Kinney who finished with a season-high 12 digs.
- The Duhawks fall to 6-8 and 1-4 in the MCVL, while the Raiders improve to 9-4 and 6-0 in conference play.
- Loras is back in action next weekend as they host Marian and Lakeland from Lillis Court, inside the Athletic & Wellness Center.

Ryan Galvan | Galvan led the way for Loras with six kills and a .250 hitting percentage in the match. He also added one dig and one block assist in the three frames.
