RIPON, Wis. (Duhawks.com) - The Loras men's tennis team earned their second-straight win on Saturday with a 9-0 sweep of Ripon.
LORAS HIGHLIGHTS
- The Duhawks recorded a sweep in doubles action, winning 8-1 at No. 1 by senior Jason Derby and junior Kevin Murphy.
- Sophomores Sean Baldwin and Riley Michel blanked their opponents at No. 2, 8-0.
- The duo of sophomore Eric Zirzow and freshman Jake Grabner added an 8-0 win at No. 3 to send Loras to singles action leading 3-0.
- At No. 1 singles, Derby picked up a dominating victory, winning 6-0, 6-1.
- Murphy added a closely contested win at No. 2, 6-4, 6-2.
- The Duhawks controlled the match the rest of the way, improving to 4-1 this season.
