DUBUQUE, Iowa — The Loras College men's soccer team will open its 2025 season on Friday, Aug. 29, with a road matchup against St. Scholastica at 1:30 p.m.

The game marks the sixth meeting between the programs, with the Duhawks holding a 5-0 advantage in the series.

Loras continues its early schedule the following week, traveling to Dominican University to face the Stars on Wednesday, Sept. 3, at 4:30 p.m.

"We are looking forward to building a family and adding to our storied history as a program," said head coach Sam Koenig. "We return a tight core group of players and increased the roster with a newcomer group who is hungry to make an impact."

The Duhawks finished last season with a 9-5-7 overall record and a 5-1-2 mark in American Rivers Conference play.

"We have many notable players who return in the strong core group of returning players who elevated their game over the last 12 months. We are excited to see many breakout performances."

Townes Robertson, Cole Bridson and Dani Galiana Torres return as all-conference selections from last season.

"This will be a young team with many new faces, but we are excited to compete together, chase championships and build a family for life."

Loras will host its home opener on Saturday, Sept. 6, against Aurora University at the Rock Bowl. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
