INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Loras College men's and women's outdoor track and field teams earned eight entries into the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships, the NCAA announced Friday evening.
The women qualified three individuals and one relay team, while the men added three individual qualifiers.
On the women's side, Keelee Leitzen and Katie Flynn each qualified individually and will also compete on the 4x400-meter relay. Leitzen enters the 800 meters tied for third with a time of 2:07.88. Katie Flynn will run the 400 meters and ranks 18th at 55.74.
The 4x400 relay team of Katie Flynn, Leitzen, Layla Hughes and Rosie Flynn ranks 10th nationally with a time of 3:45.79. Caitlyn Cox also qualified in the hammer throw and enters the meet ranked third with a mark of 57.84 meters.
On the men's side, Isaac Bourne leads the qualifiers, earning entries in both the 5,000 and 10,000 meters. He ranks 12th in the 5,000 at 14:05.16 and third in the 10,000 at 29:10.94.
DreAnthony Jackson and Carter Allen round out the men's qualifiers. Jackson is ninth in the shot put at 17.83 meters, while Allen is 10th in the discus at 52.88 meters.
The NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships will be held Thursday, May 21–Saturday, May 23 at Veterans Memorial Field Sports Complex in La Crosse, Wis.
