DUBUQUE, Iowa (Duhawks.com) - The Loras women's soccer team (7-3-0, 3-0-0) comes into this week of play on a two-game win streak after defeating Dubuque and Central in conference play. Two more IIAC games are the schedule this week before facing Webster in St. Louis on Monday.

Maura Walsh has picked up her offensive game, tallying three goals and an assist in the last two matches. This recent surge has brought her point total to nine, which is two shy of tying her career high in points.Â
WEEKLY PREVIEWÂ
The Knights (6-3-1, 2-1-0) host Loras on Tuesday after having their two-game win streak ended after a 2–1 overtime loss to Luther last Wednesday. Kickoff is set for 5 p.m. Loras will then host Buena Vista (3-8-1, 0-4-0) on Saturday afternoon. The Beavers are currently on a three-game skid with their last loss coming this past Saturday against Luther, 4-0. The week concludes with a road trip to St. Louis for a match against Webster on Monday. The Gorloks (6-6-0, 4-0-0 SLIAC) come into this week on a three game win streak with their last triumph being a 13–0 win over MacMurray.Â

Loras has the upper hand in the all-time series with Wartburg at a mark of 20-5-6. The 2015 IIAC Tournament Championship was the last time each side met with Wartburg edging the Duhawks in penalties, 3-1.Â
KNIGHTS TO WATCH OUT FORÂ
Alyssa Drewelow and Alyssa Hewitt each have recorded 10 points by way of four goals and two assists. The Knights have also benefited from the play of goal keeper Beth Crow who owns a 0.88 goals against average, a .871 save percentage and 61 saves to go along with five shutouts. She is second in the IIAC in saves and is tied for first in shutouts with Loras'
Maria Siebels.Â
SERIES HISTORY AGAINST THE BEAVERSÂ
Loras is undefeated against the Beavers all time with a record of 19-0-0. The last time each side met was in the 2015 campaign when Loras overpowered the Beavers, 8-0, on the road. Junior

Caroline Maher has been leading the Beavers attack this season by owning 21 points (10 goals, One assist). Maher recorded two goals and an assist in Buena Vista's 4–3 win over Martin Luther.Â

GORLOKS TO WATCH OUT FORÂ
The Gorloks attack has been paced by the play of Allison Ferguson, Melissa Kasper and Janel Bond, who each have registered 15 points. Ferguson has seven goals and one assist while Kasper and Bond have identical scoring marks of six goals and three assists. Ferguson's seven goals ranks fourth in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
SIEBELS PROVIDING CONSISTENCY IN GOAL

Maria Siebels has been a consistent force in the net for the Duhawks so far this season. Despite missing one game with an injury, Siebels has posted a 7-2-0 record with five shutouts and a 0.76 goals against average, which ranks second in the Iowa Conference. With six games remaining for Loras in the regular season, the consistency of Siebels play in goal will be a factor for the Duhawks success moving forward.Â

STRONG CONFERENCE START
The IIAC Preseason Poll had the Duhawks projected to finish fifth at the end of the regular season. Loras has since responded with a 7-3 overall record and is currently untouched in conference. The last time the Duhawks got off to a 3-0 conference start was in 2013 when the women made it to the second round of the NCAA tournament, going undefeated in conference while posting an overall record of 18-4-1.Â
RESURGENCE OF WALSH
Junior
Maura Walsh has found her form offensively for Loras by contributing in a big way in the last two matches. The Lemont, Ill. native has tallied three goals and one assist in the last two matches with two of the goals being credited as game-winners. The resurgence of Walsh will bode well for Loras as they head deeper into the remainder of the Iowa Conference schedule.
BRANT A FORCE TO BE RECKONED WITHÂ
Junior
Megan Brant has proven that she is strong both offensively and defensively for the Duhawks in her third season for the Purple & Gold. Her role as a center midfielder requires her to join the attack, while maintaining defensive position ahead of the backline. The Arlington Heights, Ill. native keeps plays alive in the attack by winning 50-50 balls out of the air and pushing the ball up the field. She earned Friedman Group Player of the Game honors against Central, highlighting her strengths as a midfielder.
