Hall of Fame
Pete Weber made the most of his four-years at Loras on the golf team and left his mark on the program long after he graduated. He was the IIAC medalist runner-up in 2004 before he claimed the conference title and Most Valuable Player distinction in 2005 and led the team to the conference title. An NCAA Division III Championship qualifier in 2004, Weber picked up where he left off the following season, carding eight top-ten finishes in ten tournaments and recording the GolfStat Cup for lowest scoring average in Division III with 73.12 strokes. He advanced to the NCAA Division III tournament, placing fourth, and earned the Jack Nicklaus Award for the NCAA Division III Player of the Year. He is a three-time All-Conference selection and two-time Ping All-American. His academic achievements as a history major did not go unnoticed, earning him All-Academic honors in the conference and the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) All-America Scholar award. After Loras, Weber and his family donated the Loras College golf locker room in loving memory of his father, Larry, and he continues to interact with the team whenever he is in the area. Following his collegiate career, Weber played in two Nationwide Tour events professionally and worked as an assistant golf professional at Cress Creek Golf Course in Naperville, Ill. He and his wife, Penelope, have a daughter Mackenzie, and reside in Dallas, Ga. Where he works with TrackMan Golf. Â
