  • Played along side Loras Athletic Hall of Famer Jim Kelly, leading the Duhawks to two consecutive NAIA District Tournaments in 1970-71 and 1971-72 and a 35-15 record. During those seasons, Breitbach lead the Duhawks in scoring, averaging 16.5 points while grabbing 5.5 rebounds per game to earn NAIA National All-Tournament honors in 1971.
  • Member of the Loras 1,000-point club, Breitbach scored 1,116 points and grabbed 436 rebounds during his career.
  • As a senior, was selected as the most outstanding collegiate basketball player in the state of Iowa, including Division I student-athletes
  • Excelling equally on the tennis courts, his striking back-hand helped guide the Duhawks to the 1969 Midlands Conference Championship and a 13th place at the NAIA National Tournament.
