Perfection comes in many forms and when accomplished, it can leave a lasting legacy on a program. Such was the case in 2007 when the Loras men's soccer team finished 23-0-2 on its way to the program's first appearance at the NCAA Final Four. The Duhawks built on the momentum created by the program's first two appearances in the NCAA Tournament in 2005 and 2006 and solidified its core on its way to an IIAC Regular Season Championship, IIAC Tournament Championship, NCAA Regional Championship and NCAA Sectional Championship. In 25 matches, Loras conceded six goals, four in the regular season and two in the NCAA Tournament, outscoring its opponents by a 69-6 margin. Matt Pucci led the Duhawks with 17 goals while Santiago Mejia collected 15 assists with the duo combining for 60 points. Since the 2007 season, Loras has advanced to the NCAA Final Four in 2008, 2012, 2013 and 2015, which included an appearance in the 2015 NCAA National Championship.
