  • A top back on the gridiron, Knipschield was re-inducted into the Loras Athletic Hall of Fame in 1988 with the undefeated 1947 Loras football team.
  • Set Loras record with a 97-yard run from scrimmage vs. St. Mary's in 1945.
  • A versatile athlete, Knipschield assisted in leading the Duhawks to the 1945 Iowa Conference basketball title.
  • A clutch-shooter for the Duhawks, he scored 597 points and averaged 7.1 points per game during his career.
  • Following graduation, Knipschield began coaching high school football and is a member of the Minnesota Coaches 25 Year Club.
  • A member of the Minnesota Fastpitch Softball Hall of Fame, as well.
