  • Holds the Loras record for career wins with a 23-7 record and ranks second with 206 strikeouts.
  • Won 23 of Loras' 43 victories during his four year career.
  • Led the NAIA in strikeouts per nine innings (14.23 Ks/9) with 87 strikeouts in 1968.
  • Pitched a no-hitter on April 6, 1967 in a 4-0 victory over Dubuque and followed up this performance with a 16-strikeout outing in a 3-2 victory over St. Procopius.
  • Following graduation, Michal was drafted by the Minnesota Twins in the July 1969 draft and played one season with their Class A team in Wisconsin Rapids in the Midwest League. Michal posted a 6-2 record with 81 strikeouts and a 3.21 earned run average.
