Hall of Fame
It is not a common occurrence in track and field to excel in both track and field events, but for Andrea (Metcalf) Cafaro, she blew away the competition both with her speed and strength. During her four-year career as a Duhawk, Cafaro earned six All-American honors, including three in the 4x400 Relay. Her other three came by way of the Javelin and 4x100 Relay. Additionally, Cafaro was a five-time Iowa Conference Champion in the Triple Jump, 4x100 Relay, Javelin, and 4x400 Relay. Cafaro owns the Loras All-Time Record in the Javelin, throwing for a distance of 43.96m at the Loras Open in 1998. In her final outdoor season, Cafaro was a member of the record-setting 4x200 and 4x400 Relay teams. With a degree in sport management, Cafaro now lives in Waterloo, Iowa and works as a mortgage loan production at Community First National Bank. Cafaro and her husband Mike have three children, Cameron, Andrew, and Maggie.
