Hall of Fame
A dangerous scorer, Johnson remains near the top of Loras' record books in multiple categories 21 years after his graduation.
A three-time First Team All-Conference honoree, Johnson started his career with Second Team All-Iowa Intercollegiate Athletics Conference (IIAC - now American Rivers Conference) laurels and never looked back. The three-time captain finished his career with the Duhawks second all-time in points (99) and goals (44), while sitting eighth in a single season in points with 33 (2001) and goals with 14 – a feat that he accomplished in 2001 and '03. He also shined off the pitch, earning IIAC All-Academic Team honors in '01.
In 2003, Johnson earned conference MVP honors after helping lead the Duhawks to a 17-4 record, ending the regular season as champions of the IIAC. For his efforts over his senior season, he picked up All-West Region First Team honors by the NSCAAA (now United Soccer Coaches).
Following graduation in 2003, Johnson joined the University of Dubuque as the Men's and Women's Assistant Soccer Coach and began a terrific coaching career that led to him being named the Head Men's Soccer Coach in 2008. Over his 13 years at the helm for UD, Johnson led the program to a 125-80-16 overall record, which included two conference titles in 2010 and 2021.
