  • Became Loras' first All-American selection on the diamond following the 1963 season. Eggers led the Duhawks to a 12-5 record while striking out 61 batters in 53 innings on his way to a 6-2 record and a 2.38 earned run average.
  • Pitched a no-hitter against UW-Platteville in a 1-0 victory during the 1963 season.
  • The strong-armed lefty, Eggers remains a fixture in the Loras record book, ranking second on the all-time innings pitched list with 189 from 1961-64. His 2.95 earned run average still ranks fourth in the Loras history while his 12 career wins ranks tenth.
  • Received the Chicago Alumni Trophy in 1963 as the school's Scholar Athlete of the Year.
