  • Holds the school record for season winning percentage (.889) at the #2 singles position and ranks seventh in career winning percentage as a doubles player finishing with a 26-8 (.764) mark.
  • In addition to tennis, Derouin was also a member of the Loras basketball squad that posted winning records in three of four seasons including an 18-10 mark as a senior.
  • Following graduation, Derouin continued to earn athletic honors by being selected as Jaycees Outstanding Educator (1976), Illinois High School Boys Tennis Coach of the Year (1992), Illinois Coaches Association Coach of State Champions (1992-93) and National High School Athletic Coaches Assocation Coach of the Year (1994).
